Semiconductor Components
Semiconductor components, or devices, are basic elements for all modern
electronic products. Therefore, detailed study of them is fundamental, starting
from the basic material that they are made of, that is, the semiconductors (Section
3.8 in Chapter 3), and analyzing the articial treatment they undergo, that is, dop-
ing, in order to dene their practical use.
