So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
APPENDIX ACOMPARISON OF DATA MODELLING NOTATIONS
This appendix compares five notations that are in common use for data modelling, with the same business scenario drawn in each notation. The notations are:
- the Ellis–Barker notation;
- the Chen entity–relationship notation;
- the Information Engineering notation;
- the IDEF1X notation;
- the Unified Modeling Language notation for object class diagrams.
