Choosing the Crew
The director is intimately involved in choosing the key people around whom the crew will form. She looks for creative partners as well as people with whom she can work and communicate. The production hours are long and hard, and the director must feel confident that those around her will come through for her when needed. She must trust these crew members to execute her vision for the script.
