ANIMATION

Animation is utilized in many genres: commercials, children’s programs, feature films, short narratives, experimental films, video art, TV sitcoms, and animated features.

Animation has become a very large and significant segment of filmmaking. With the advent of digital media, the definition of animation has expanded to include large portions of the visual effects and commercial production industries.

Animation has been a part of our visual and popular culture since the turn of the century, mostly in the form of cartoons. Hanna-Barbera, Disney, Fleischer, and Chuck Jones are names that represent a rich and dense body of creative work.
