Production
The start of production is the moment when the score has been written, the musicians are assembled, and the conductor raises the baton. The ship has been constructed, the crew has been chosen, and the captain pulls up anchor and heads out to sea. By this time, the director will know intuitively how to influence the creative drive of the cast and crew.
During production, you can look back on the many hours of preparation, planning, and rehearsal and be thankful that: you took the time to refine the production schedule; looked for that unique location; established comfortable and productive working relationships; and explored all the possibilities the script, cast, and crew have to offer.
