Part I. Understanding Unified Communications

In this part, Chapter 1, introduces the Microsoft Unified Communications (UC) platform. This chapter highlights the challenges of UC and the opportunities that these challenges offer developers. UC opens up a new category of applications that were previously reserved for specialized systems with limited public interfaces.
