I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Migrating and Syncing Between Earth and Cloud
The danger in writing a discrete chapter on SQL Azure in a vast book on SQL Server is that we will prepare you to use both products, but in a rather segregated fashion. If that happened it would be a huge failing though, because the intersection between the two products is rather large. Not only can you take an agnostic approach to tools, query, and development that works with SQL Azure and SQL Server relatively interchangeably, but you can also move databases and database designs from one to the other very elegantly.
In practical terms, what does this mean? You can move a database from SQL Server to SQL Azure, and vice versa; you can also export database schemas from one platform to the other, interchangeably; ...
