The danger in writing a discrete chapter on SQL Azure in a vast book on SQL Server is that we will prepare you to use both products, but in a rather segregated fashion. If that happened it would be a huge failing though, because the intersection between the two products is rather large. Not only can you take an agnostic approach to tools, query, and development that works with SQL Azure and SQL Server relatively interchangeably, but you can also move databases and database designs from one to the other very elegantly.
