So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
xVelocity for Analysis: PowerPivot and SSAS Tabular Models
In the last section we focused pretty heavily on the inner workings of xVelocity column store and compression technology. In this section, we will move away from that level of discussion, and discuss the specially purposed analytical database technology that xVelocity also supports. Rest assured that the same clever technology is there, under the covers, but the specifics of it are less important. Instead, the extra capabilities and features that result are important.
