Resource Management

The overall purpose of resources management is to make sure the project acquires and manages all the required resources, both human and physical, to ensure success. On the human resources/team side, this includes identifying the requisite skill sets required for specific project activities, identifying individuals who have those skill sets, assigning roles and responsibilities, ensuring high productivity, and forecasting future resource needs. The physical resources needed also must be identified, forecast, acquired, and managed—from facilities to nuts and bolts.
