What’s more, smartphones and digital photography were more ubiquitous than ever before, and Facebook was far and away the most popular photo uploading destination. But with all these photo uploads came a new problem for the social networking site: people were reporting millions of photos as inappropriate. To review all these reported photos in a timely fashion would have taken thousands of people.
