Cryptography is the process of changing text information to unintelligible text, and vice-versa: from crypto-text into intelligible text. In our application, we use cryptography in the process of creating data confidentiality and protecting it from unauthorized modification.
We use cryptography to encrypt communication between the client and the server. This is done through public key encryption using HTTPS, which uses the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. The TLS protocol is the successor of the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.
