I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Some years back, a clever and talented friend of mine was asked at a job interview whether he was a ‘team player’. ‘Yes,’ he whimsically but cynically responded, ‘Team captain’.
Pam Hamilton is not whimsically cynical. To the contrary, she’s a cheerful pragmatist with a strong dash of idealism. But, like my friend, she prizes commitment to excellence over ‘go along, get along’ mediocrity. She sees talent, teams and teamwork being undervalued. That irks her.
