Andrew would have to give the speech of his life; failure meant lifetime exile from Athens. Since he was representing himself in court, the chances of him ever seeing his wife, children, or aging mother again would rest on his next few words. As he got up to speak, he looked out anxiously at the crowd – many of whom would determine his fate.
