63. Appraise Continuously
General Electric (GE) and McKinsey & Company have a reputation as "CEO machines" because so many people from their organizations go on to become CEOs of top corporations. GE and McKinsey use constant appraisal to improve their personnel. Both companies provide feedback that is deep, honest, frequent, and comes from all sources. The companies constantly evaluate their people and use appraisal to weed out those who do not measure up.[1]
