Navigating the Student Loan Maze
Don’t assume that colleges will recommend the best lenders; look beyond a school’s lender list.
Select federal loans first and avoid private loans.
Always ask whether a loan comes with a discount and look for up-front discounts, which are superior to those imposing waiting periods.
Do whatever you can to avoid defaulting on a student loan.
