WHAT IS A STAGE PICTURE?
The development of stage pictures and the floor plan go hand in hand. The floor plan determines the configuration of the stage pictures; conversely, the stage pictures determine the floor plan. It raises the age-old question: “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” Stage pictures are static images that create the look that carries the feeling of the scene and promotes its understanding. A stage picture can be thought of in terms of a photo call. While many shows are photographed during a rehearsal, it can be difficult for the photographer to capture the best looks.
