It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

18.1 Introduction to information security management
The last critical capability in Big Data is information security management. It is an all-encompassing capability that is applicable to an organization’s entire Big Data architecture. Information security management is, and should be, interwoven with all the other capabilities that were discussed in this section.
Because of its importance, we have seen the Information Security capability also in the NIST Big Data Reference Architecture, which was presented in Chapter 13 section 13.4. Security in this context was defined as a ‘fundamental aspect of the NBDRA’, which is similar to our definition of a critical capability.
