It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
21.5. Summary
The COPS protocol is an IETF protocol used for general administration, configuration and enforcement of policies. COPS-PR extensions define COPS usage for policy provisioning as well as the concept of a PIB. The 3GPP Go defines such a PIB for representing information exchanged over the Go interface.
