I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Mountainscape with Layers
Characteristics of this type of shot: A mountain landscape with lots of depth.
Ingredients: There are two main compositional things going on here: (1) There was not a cloud in the sky, and in situations like this, we try to show as little of the boring thing (the sky) as possible. So, take a look at my composition. I framed the shot to show just enough sky to give a little bit of background for the mountains to sit in front of. (2) The other thing is creating that foreground-to-background depth. The foreground element is the sheep in the field, and then you have lots of interesting layers from there, with the tree line ...
