I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
When to Shoot: Dawn
If you’ve fallen in love with an amazing landscape image, chances are it was taken near dawn or dusk—those are the two times of day when the light is beautiful, the shadows are soft, and landscapes far and away look their best. Doing a dawn shoot is harder because you have to get up so darn early, but it can pay off by presenting you with spectacularly colorful skies and smooth, glassy reflections. The key to dawn shoots might surprise you: most of your best shots will probably come before the sun actually rises.
