Once you have the panels positioned where you want them, you can also customize the display of those panels. For example, I like to have the Layers panel as large as possible, so I collapse all the other panels to their smallest size. To do this, just double-click the tab of any of the full-sized panels and you’ll only see the name of the panel. Then, when you need to see the full panel, just double-click again to expand it.
Theoretically, Photoshop is supposed to “remember” the configuration of all your panels—meaning that every time you launch the program, your configuration appears. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. That’s why—a little later—we will look at how to save workspaces. In the meantime, Figure ...
