model is composed of a depth map and a gray-scale image. The ridge pattern
computation is based on an image enhancement method that can be divided
into two distinct tasks. The first task is enhancing the ridge visibility, which
is performed by applying a homomorphic filtering technique. First, the log-
arithm of the image is computed. Then, a high-pass filter is applied. Finally,
