Conclusions
Part III of this book concentrated on the benefits of, and the issues associated with, large-scale PKI deployments in the enterprise domain. The key to achieving a successful deployment of a large-scale enterprise PKI rests in several areas:
First and foremost, cost justification and the development of a solid business case are essential. Attempting to deploy technology for technology's sake alone is doomed to failure.
It is important to achieve the maximum amount of corporate-level buy-in. Lack of support within an organization will make deployment extremely difficult, ...
