It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
At this point, you should have a good understanding of routing concepts, including the strengths and weaknesses of the protocols, how they're used and why. We focused on the open protocol standards EIGRP and IGRP, OSPF, IGP and ERP, RIP and BGP. You should be familiar with the factors that affect dynamic routing, such as metrics and convergence, and how each protocol adjusts to changes in the network's configuration and state.
