Experience Design: Applying VR to a Problem

As with other media, if virtual reality does not help solve problems or provide a useful method of conveying messages, ideas, and/or emotions, then it is little more than a technological novelty. Researchers and engineers might find it interesting for a while, but if artists and application designers are not able to cultivate it to create worthwhile experiences, then not many people will want to use it. This chapter looks at how a VR experience is created by bringing together all components of experience discussed in the previous seven chapters.
