The Contact Contract
Windows supports a Contact contract to enable deeper integration with contacts that is much more useful than the contact picker. It enables you to show a contact card, a lightweight flyout that Windows can render on top of your app. This can greatly enhance any piece of contact information displayed by your app. The displayed card not only shows rich information about the contact (if available), but it provides actions to interact with the contact, such as sending an email or initiating a Skype call. For example, the PC version of the Mail app leverages the contact card whenever you tap an email address.
