So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6. User Input with Variables
Up to this point, you’ve only looked at the formatting and navigation aspects of WAP development. Although these factors are important, what users really want is the ability to interact with an application. In this chapter, you begin incorporating user functionality into your WAP development efforts. You also learn how to create software that enables users to input data.
This chapter also introduces you to the concept of variables. Variables are temporary storage areas of applications and enable developers to use and manipulate user-inputted data. This book approaches the subject of variables by first discussing what variables are and then examining incorporating variables into WAP applications.
