Why Two Languages?
First of all you must ask yourself, "Why bother writing WML at all? Can't I just use HTML and a translator?" The answer is yes you can, but if you want to build a real-world, compelling application, any translator is not going to get you far enough.
Consider, for example, http://Amazon.com. Figure 13.1 shows what its Web site looks like in Internet Explorer.
