I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Formalna nazwa list dostępu to listy kontroli dostępu (ang. access control list). Z kolei pojedyncze elementy listy kontroli dostępu nazywają się wpisami kontroli dostępu (ACE — ang. Access Control Entries). Sam termin lista kontroli dostępu w praktyce często jest skracany do określenia "lista dostępu" lub "lista ACL".
Listy dostępu nie służą jedynie do regulowania praw dostępu. Są mechanizmami kategoryzowania i dopasowywania pakietów, które znajdują wiele zastosowań w pracy urządzeń firmy Cisco. Można je wykorzystać jako proste filtry przepuszczające ruch przez interfejsy. Nadają się również do wyodrębniania ruchu w ramach map interfejsów ISDN oraz dopasowywania pakietów w definicji map routingu.
