When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Ad hoc maintenance
The maintenance functionality in Zabbix is aimed at a well-planned environment where maintenance is always planned in advance. In practice, people often want to place a host in maintenance quickly and then simply remove it manually a bit later. With all the periods and other things maintenance entry requires, it's not quick enough. A slightly hackish workaround is to create a new host group (ex-maintenance) and a maintenance period that is always active (make sure to set its end date far enough in the future). Include that host group in the maintenance entry, and then adding a host to the chosen host group will add that host to maintenance.
