So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Volume/block storage
Virtual and physical servers can be managed more efficiently if they don't store state information locally. This makes provisioning, de-provisioning, and failure handling much more manageable. Volume/block device storage is centralized storage that is accessed by servers as if it was a local hard drive.
