It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Message oriented middleware
With distributed applications, application components hosted on different cloud resources need to exchange information. Often, this also requires integration with other cloud and non-cloud applications. Using message-oriented middleware, communication partners can exchange information asynchronously using messages. This service handles addressing, the availability of communication partners, and message format transformation.
