This appendix is here to give you a little more high-level information on a few tools that are available to help you with the planning and operations for Microsoft Dynamics 365. It is not intended to give you the most up-to-date information or to go into much detail because, while enablers such as Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps are important tools, each company will use them differently. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, so the information we are trying to impart is deliberately high level. Reading this chapter will not help you decide whether Dynamics 365 should be your ERP of choice when starting a digital transformation journey. However, if you do use Dynamics 365, this section will help you identify some of the tools that your business is likely to find useful as part of your transformation journey.

There are many different tools that will help you to be successful with your digital transformation. The selection of tools will depend on organizational needs and the success factors that you laid out at the start of your process. In the case of Dynamics 365 and Azure, the most important standard tools from Microsoft include LCS (Microsoft Lifecycle Services), Azure DevOps (Development Operations), RSAT (Regression Suite Automation Tool), and Power Platform.
