I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Nordic Semiconductor tools
Nordic Semiconductor is a semiconductor company specializes in wireless system-on-chip solutions. Most of their wireless kits works on 2.4 GHz ISM band with low power consumption. They also specialize in Bluetooth Low Energy hardware especially nRF51 development kit that we discussed in this chapter. Their kit is available for developers to implement their own projects. In the software side, Nordic Semiconductor have many tools available for desktop and mobile platforms. These tools help developers to study, test and debug the Bluetooth connection and data exchange between central and peripheral. nRF tools also gives the functionality to perform over-the-air device firmware update.
