It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
S110 SoftDevice
S110 is a Bluetooth Low Energy protocol stack solution with Peripheral/Broadcaster functionality. It provides BLE controller and host functionality with flexible API. This enables developers to build Bluetooth Low Energy SoC applications with minimum efforts. Some of the key features of this SoftDevices are:
- Bluetooth 4.2 enabled single-mode protocol stack
- L2CAP, ATT, GATT (client and server) and GAP
- SMP support with MITM and OOB pairing
- Bluetooth examples to implement custom applications
