I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Advanced applications
After understanding the basic beacon example, we can now move forward to understanding more complex applications. A proximity beacon can be put on the front door of a house. If the resident comes inside, it can turn on the lights and switch the radio to a particular channel. If the beacon has the ability to connect to a smart home hub, it can even control multiple things at once. For example, by knowing that the resident is in the vicinity, a Bluetooth beacon can perform customized tasks, such as playing the voicemail on the home phone or brewing coffee.
