I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction to the Second Edition
I was surprised when McGraw-Hill asked if I would be interested in writing an updated version of this book. Surprised because the original was 10 years old, and while it had sold moderately well, I thought the work had reached its retirement age and would begin gracing dusty bookshelves. Yet the book has been used by a number of universities, flight departments, corporate executives, and the NBAA Corporate Aviation Management program as a principal reference. So thank you all who purchased the original and have returned for another look. A special thanks to all who provided comments and recommendations regarding the original edition, many of which have been incorporated into this edition.
