OVERVIEW

IT operations refers to the set of processes, tools and practices involved in managing and maintaining an organisation’s IT infrastructure, services and systems to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently. There are many components, including customer-relationship management, infrastructure management, systems administration, network operations, service desk and support, security and access management, data management, disaster recovery, monitoring and management, as well as hardware management and maintenance.
