Automatic Deployment Services
Windows 2003 introduced another pristine deployment feature called
Automatic Deployment Services (ADS) in Windows 2003. Microsoft positions
ADS for server installs. You cannot install Windows XP with ADS. Both ADS
and RIS are shipped with Windows 2003. ADS has more advanced features
than RIS, such as multicast capability and image-based installation, whereas
RIS is script based.
