3.8 Installation methods
You can install and upgrade the components of IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager
using any of the following different installation mechanisms:
Using the Integrated Installation, which creates a new Tivoli management
region server (Tivoli server) and installs the appropriate IBM Tivoli
Configuration Manager components or upgrades the entire Tivoli
management region (Tivoli region) using activity plans.
Using Tivoli Software Installation Service, where you select which products to
install on which machines.
Using the Tivoli Desktop, where you select which product and patches to
install on which machine.
