Manager fundamentals and
installation
This chapter provides an overview of IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager 4.2.2 and
the installation steps.
Although it is still possible to install most of the IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager
components with classical Desktop Installation methods or Software Installation
Services (SIS), IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager is shipped with a new
installation mechanism called Integrated Install, which simplifies the installation
of IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager components a lot.
