2.3 Tivoli resources
Resource is a general term used to define objects, services, tasks,
administrators, managed nodes, and other items in the Tivoli environment.
A resource is a system, device, or service in a distributed environment.
Examples are workstations, software products, and administrators. A managed
resource represents system or network resources that Tivoli manages. Managed
resources are found only inside of policy regions. Figure 2-5 on page 22 shows
different managed resources in a Tivoli environment.
