It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

2.6.3 MDist2 components
Figure 2-13 on page 35 illustrates the primary MDist2 components, which are:
Repeater manager The Tivoli object that maintains configuration data for
all repeaters in the TMR. It also determines the
distribution path. There is one repeater manager per
TMR.
Repeater site The intermediate client that receives a single copy of
data and sends it to another repeater site or target
clients.
Repeater depot The storage site for MDist2 distributions. Every
repeater has a depot. Thus, data can be stored on any
repeater in the Tivoli environment. This storage
mechanism helps reduce network traffic for frequently
distributed data sets.
