It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

許多職業都有特定的行為守則。醫學界有希波克拉底誓言，約束醫生為了病人的利益而
工作，而且不能危害他們。律師和工程師都有自己的專業團體授予特許地位，並要求成
員一定要遵守規矩。這些道德守則都是為了保護他們的客戶，以保障從業人員，以及確
保業內人士有好的名聲。
在軟體“工程”中，我們沒有這種普遍的規則。我們有一些業界標準可以認可。不同的
組織會公布它們自己建立的道德規範，例如 ACM 與 BSI。但是，它們都不太有法律地
位，也沒有受到普世的認同。
