Users

Beyond just the product, the user lives at the center of every decision the entire experience machine makes about anything it does. As a shared vision, the user keeps teams aligned and building the same product for the same people. The activities in this section help teams collaboratively understand and analyze their users as well as how to share and communicate that vision to the broader organization.

Your team can work better together, and you’re going to help them do it. In this part we examine the basic elements of users. Because we always talk about research whenever we talk about users, we will also look at ways to rightsize user research to match the information you need for the product you’re building.

To support the team’s ongoing analysis of and learnings about their users, we’ll look at the attribute grid as a living document and how to convert the wall of sticky notes and user data into easy-to-read and scan stories about who the user is.
