Configure virtual machines for vGPUs, DirectPath I/O and SR-IOV

If an NVIDIA GRID GPU graphics device is installed in an ESXi host, you can take advantage of NVIDIA GRID virtual GPU (vGPU) technology by configuring the virtual machine accordingly.

As prerequisites, the host must have an NVIDIA GRID GPU graphics device and the related driver installed, and the virtual machine needs to be compatible with ESXi 6.0 and later.

To allow the virtual machine to access the NVIDIA GRID GPU graphics device, proceed as follows:

  1. From vSphere Web Client, right-click the virtual machine to configure it and select Edit Settings.
