I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Accuracy
Accuracy is the tenth law, which states: The interface will be free from errors.
Human Factors
Out of all the laws in this book, this one is the furthest from reality. There is no speech application on the market that can claim it is free from errors.
Technology Considerations and Implications
Errors in speech technology are rampant. That does not mean, however, that interface designers and usability engineers should either give up or refuse to work on speech applications because there will be errors. Until errors are significantly reduced through improved technology, it is the interface designer's job to minimize the impact of errors and make it as easy as possible for users to detect and correct errors.
