Abstract
The exponential proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has introduced unprecedented security vulnerabilities, necessitating technological solutions to defend distributed networks against evolving cyber threats. This chapter proposes a blockchain-based digital immune system (DIS) for decentralized threat intelligence, real-time anomaly detection, and automated response mechanisms to secure IoT ecosystems. The multi-layered architecture employs a consortium blockchain network to establish tamper-proof logging, AI-enhanced threat analysis, and smart contract-driven incident containment across heterogeneous device clusters. At its core, a decentralized virus analysis system utilizes specialized nodes for behavioral profiling, cryptographic signature extraction, and adaptive prescription generation, enabling coordinated defense against zero-day attacks and persistent malware. The experimental validation showed 97.6% accuracy in real-time threat detection across diverse IoT device profiles, with the prescription derivation nodes achieving a 68.9% reduction in mean time-to-containment compared to centralized alternatives. ...
