Abstract
In the rapidly evolving digital era, organizations face increasing vulnerability to cyber threats that can disrupt operations, compromise sensitive data, and harm firm’s reputation. To mitigate these risks, it is prudent to foster cyber resilience, enabling firms to anticipate, withstand, and recover from cyberattacks with minimal impact. While cybersecurity focuses on prevention, cyber resilience emphasizes adaptability and recovery. Traditionally led by IT departments, the role of human resources (HR) has become indispensable in fostering a cyber-resilient workforce. Human resources play a pivotal role by integrating cybersecurity awareness into recruitment, training and development, policy development, employee compensation, employee off boarding and organizational culture. Through strategic employee engagement, continuous learning programs, and compliance enforcement, HR strengthens an organization’s defense against cyberattacks. Aligning HR strategies with cyber resilience strengthens security, maintains business continuity, safeguards critical digital assets and digital infrastructure.
