SELECTIVE FOCUS
Selective focus is a technique you can use
to make part of an image very sharp and
in focus, while the rest of the frame is
very out of focus. e key is learning how
to control your depth of eld and focus.
e easiest way is to put your camera
in aperture mode and set the aperture
to the smallest f-stop your lens allows,
while your camera sets the shutter speed.
Once you understand how your “exposure
triangle” works—and moreover your depth
of eld—you can begin to use it to your
benet and create selective-focus images
like a pro.
