SELECTIVE FOCUS
Selective focus is a technique you can use
to make part of an image very sharp and
in focus, while the rest of the frame is
very out of focus. e key is learning how
to control your depth of eld and focus.
e easiest way is to put your camera
in aperture mode and set the aperture
to the smallest f-stop your lens allows,
while your camera sets the shutter speed.
Once you understand how your “exposure
triangle” works—and moreover your depth
of eld—you can begin to use it to your
benet and create selective-focus images
like a pro.
